      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ICCU (Pocatello, ID) in Oct 2022

      Interview

Extra context: I was surprised I was selected for an interview considering I had applied before (I wasn't selected for a couple of different teller/contact center positions). I ended up working at another credit union in their contact center for 1.5 years and decided to try again with ICCU. I started fresh with a new profile and retook the personality test because I grew as a person from the time I first took the first test. My talent card was completely different. First time: Discernment, Customer Centricity, Resourceful Second time: Positivity, Responsibility, Achiever This time, I applied to three listings (contact center, indirect loan officer, and operations). Indirect loan officer first, contact center second (both old listings), and I didn't get selected for either. I was however selected for operations. My assumption was they matched me with the most suitable fit. Also, the operations job posting was 4 days old, and when I applied they reached out after 3 days. They emailed me a link to choose a time that worked best for me for an internal video interview with the department manager and recruiter. There were options ranging within two weeks, which was nice. They also regularly updated the status of my applications (including the date of the last update). During the interview, I felt comfortable, they were kind and wanted to get to know me. Not really any trick questions, but being prepared with stories and key takeaways are a must to make yourself stand out and show you are serious. They were informative and transparent about the position and told me they would have an answer by the end of the following week. Fast forward, they contacted me and informed me that they gave the position to an internal employee but offered me a different position at the contact center (I still had to interview for it though). I thought this was interesting because I initially didn't even get selected for it when I applied. This told me that once they got to know me, they realized I would be a good fit. They personally forwarded my application for the other position, called me again to discuss details, and answer any questions I had. I scheduled another video interview, and they ended the interview by offering me this position. Tips: Prepare some questions to show you are invested in them and are serious about the position. Show that you did your homework. Personality and culture are huge for them, so try to confidently be yourself and show that you would be easy to work with. Mock interviews are GREAT to build confidence either with yourself or a friend. I apologize for the length, but I thought it would be useful for someone who is nervous. I know I was anxious, so if I can do it, you can do it! You got this.
