Applied online via their website, heard back from recruiting about 3 1/2 weeks later and arranged a phone interview that took place a week afterward.
The phone interview was with a Product Manager, and lasted around 30 minutes. The first part of the interview consisted of standard interview questions (why do you want to work here, why do your qualifications fit the position).
The second part consisted of questions meant to test your abilities in logic and explanation. See the question below for the former. The latter was an impromptu lecture at an elementary/middle school level on a scientific topic of your choice.
After the interview, I was given one week to complete an assignment representative of the type of work a product analyst would do - writing age-appropriate explanations for questions and creating an abstract high-level design for a "problem generator" program. (The program generator is IXL's method of procedurally generating a large number of questions testing the same concept).
After completing the assignment, I was informed that I would not be moving on in the interview process.
