I was first contacted by the recruiter and spoke a little bit with her in an introductory interview. Later I passed to the next stage and got an interview with a specialist which was a kind guy and we got along very well during the call.
After the second interview, I was assigned a long tedious task that took me several days to complete. It was certainly a pain in the butt to develop/design the answers to their requiements but it made me pass to the later stage with four people in upper management so that they would take a final decision.
In the end, only one guy arrived to the interview and he was quite indifferent to what I said. He was there like there's nothing more interesting to do, he barely looked me in the eyes (it was a remote video call) and seemed uncomfortable of being there.
One week later I got an e-mail saying that they finally decided to fill the position with an internal employee. The process was such a waste of time. I got the sensation that the position had been filled internally from the beginning and these people posted the job ad to make the recruitment process appear more transparent.
Quite disappointing...
