Interview
First there is a short 15 minute phone interview with a recruiter who will ask screening questions and will then match you to a department and location (if there is more than one office in the city you apply to) based on your interest.
Next, there is a 1-2 hour panel style interview with 3 rounds. Each round has 2 interviewers who will ask questions based on one aspect of the interview (mine seemed to be technical, personality, previous experience).
I heard back within 2 weeks after both interviews, and the recruiter was very responsive.

What is your least favorite or most difficult class you have taken in undergrad?
My experience interviewing with Kimley-Horn was great. The process started with a recruiter call and then two formal interviews. Everyone I spoke with was approachable and enthusiastic about their work, and they made me feel comfortable sharing my experiences while learning more about the firm’s collaborative environment.

hey asked me to describe a project I’ve worked on that involved problem-solving or design challenges, and how I approached finding a solution.
I was contacted through email and did a zoom meeting with some of the members of the office I would potentially intern with. I was contacted once again through email about a week or two later with their decision!

They will typically ask you about your past experiences on your resume. I do not recall being asked any technical questions, as this was an internship position.
