I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Kimley-Horn (Atlanta, GA) in Jun 2008
Interview
I got the interview through a friend who recommended me for the job. At the interview, I felt like I made personal connections with the group of people interviewing me, and my resume was impressive, so I was told. However, I did not get the job because my experience was not extensive enough. I would still recommend this company and would consider working for them in the future. Great benefits, a good culture and a great reputation in their industry.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
They asked for samples of previous work, related to the job
I went through 3 rounds of interviews.
interview 1: one person, 35 mins
interview 2: 4 people, 2 hours
interview 3: 8 people, 2 hours
Today I was notified that are not hiring me because they are "looking for someone with AEC experience."
IT TOOK YOU 3 INTERVIEWS TO COME TO THIS CONCLUSION?!
Also, this is something they knew from day 1. I told every person that I spoke to from the company that I don't have that experience, and it wasn't a problem each interview.
I just don't believe that it really took them until day 3, hour 4 to realize that's what they were looking for? This is something that you know you're looking for well ahead of time, before making someone spend 4 hours in interviews across many days! You know from before the interview from day 1 that you either want or don't want someone with experience! wtf so you just proceeded to waste my time??!
