I applied online. I interviewed at Klaviyo (Boston, MA) in Jul 2020
Interview
The process was very drawn out and I got the impression Klaviyo was just stringing me along at some point. I had 6 interviews, including one take-home exercise after the last round which they said would take 8 hours to complete (but implied that I should take time to make it absolutely perfect to show them that I would be a good employee), but ultimately was rejected with one sentence of feedback. Meanwhile, in earlier rounds the technical aspects were almost trivial (simulate dice throws with python). There is no clear idea of what "they" want and why they reject certain candidates.

The hiring process includes an initial skills assessment, followed by a recruiter phone screen, then virtual technical onsite interviews to evaluate technical ability, collaboration, and role fit, ending with a potential offer for selected candidates.

Interview
Same story as a lot of people here. Got asked to a coding exercise before talking to anyone. The assessment was trivial, but was vague as to what they were actually looking for. Received a rejection a day later with no feedback.
Highly recommend NOT applying here. Seems like a joke almost, and many people have the exact same experience.
This one was tough to read- thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We'd love to hear more and are always looking to improve. Please email glassdoor@klaviyo.com if you'd like to get in touch.
