Initial HR Screening (Phone Call):
A short discussion about my background, notice period, and interest in cloud support. The HR also explained the role, shift timings, and basic AWS expectations.
Technical Round 1 (Virtual):
Focused on AWS fundamentals — EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, and CloudWatch. They asked scenario-based troubleshooting questions like instance connectivity, high CPU utilization, and network configuration issues. A few Linux and networking basics (ping, telnet, curl) were also covered.
Technical Round 2 (Panel/Manager):
More detailed discussion on real-world troubleshooting and escalation handling. Questions on root cause analysis (RCA), monitoring setup, IAM policies, and log analysis. They also tested communication skills and how I would handle a high-priority customer issue.
Final HR/Managerial Round:
Discussion on work culture, shift flexibility, and salary negotiation.
