Right away, our group of five to interview that day had to wait. Tick, tick, tick. Forty minutes later, we were led upstairs and given tons of paperwork to complete. For the three of us who passed, we were asked to meet one-on-one with a "counselor" and expected to answer all sorts of in depth psychological testing questions. Following this, we had to take a reading and spelling test. Oh I can pass this, I thought. Until my 20-something year old testers sent out very clear vibes that they were going to throw everything at me, in hopes that I'd fail.
Keep in mind, I have extensive training with both an MBA and M.Ed. I have taught 2nd and 3rd grade students full time for years in the public school and I have tutored as well. What appealed to me to apply here was the opportunity to tutor full time. I had also heard of the "Linda-Bell Learning Process" and wanted to learn more. The actual interview at this facility took almost all day.
