The interview process is 2 parts.
Part 1 is a mix of filling out employee background information and then taking a spelling test and a critical thinking test. I felt like I had reentered middle school since the critical thinking test is a booklet of about 15 pages with a Scantron sheet; the fact that both tests were done in a group setting with other applicants added to that notion.
The spelling test was doable for the first 20 words (mostly words often misspelled), but there were about 4 words I personally have never heard of/ are not used in average conversation (think high-end 6th grade spelling bee kind of words).
I honestly found the Part 2 more relevant than the first part. It's odd how you have to be a vocabulary wizard/ great test taker before the company looks into you as an individual. I was invited back 2 days after part 1 to do this next step. In that part, you watch a video explaining the company's values and do a practice run of the type of tutoring you would be doing if you got the job. Then you end with a one-on-one interview that include questions like "Why do you want to work for Lindamood-Bell?" and "What would you do if..."
