I walked in and was interviewed on the spot and the manager that hired me was very nice. He asked me why I wanted to work there, and I said I have heard good things about the company. He asked about my previous or current employment. He asked why I’d be a good fit at Living Spaces and I said ‘because if I believe in something I can sell it to anyone. I have an extremely high IQ and I can communicate with people from all walks of life. I love dealing with customers on a personal basis, I’m used to selling over the phone and get hung up on a lot. I’d be very excited to meet new people everyday.”
He asked me if I’m mind being paid hourly as opposed to commission. I told him that would be refreshing and that would give a more lax attitude toward the customers. He asked if I could work weekends as they are mandatory and I said I could. After a few jokes about the Living Spaces jingle he offered me a position pending a drug screen and background check. He didn’t ask if I had ever been convicted of a crime and it doesn’t ask on the application either. I do have a felony conviction for drug paraphernalia from 2015.
