After watching videos online and reading the information on the website, taking tests, submitting DMV and Insurance info, I went to the location indicated and met with a Mentor who inspected my vehicle for safety and condition. We then went for a test drive where my driving was evaluated by the mentor. I ask a lot of questions and she was mainly very helpful. It came out that she was working in the office for Lyft and she was a little cagey about airport pick up questions, which I didn't like. She also complained about dogs in her car, which was something that happened to me 2 in 8 months of driving. I would prefer to have had a mentor who was an experienced driver. But other than that, she was friendly and she got me on the road in about an hour. They must have checked my driving record at some point for DUIs and points before this in-person interview.
