I interviewed at Major League Baseball (MLB) in Aug 2017
Interview
Standard application process. Their recruiter reached out to me to schedule a 30 minute phone call. As others have mentioned MLB Advanced Media take a fair amount of time to get back to you. The next part of the process was a 45 minute call with a lead engineer to discuss the role and experience overall.
After that a 4 hour interview via video conferencing was scheduled. The interview was mainly hands on Java programming via an online text editor as well as answering some overall design/cloud service design related questions.
Overall the interview process was "okay" primarily because MLB Advanced Media took far too long to respond.

Interview
There were several rounds of interviews:
1. Initial coding assessment.
2. More in-depth coding, System Design, "Culture Fit" conversations.
3. A "final" Culture Fit interview with the VP.
At this point, the recruiter called me and said they wanted to move forward with an offer. We discussed Salary, benefits, chose a possible start date, etc. and I was told the offer would be sent to me in writing.
The next week the recruiter calls me again and says they don't have the necessary approvals for the offer, and instead they scheduled me for two more interviews.
4. A discussion with a Senior HR manager, and a discussion with the SVP.
I feel the interviews went well, but then the recruiter tells me they re-evaluated the role and are going a different direction and are not going to give me the offer they had previously promised.
