I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Meta (London, England) in Aug 2025
Interview
My Meta interview experience was one of the most structured one's I've ever had. The recruiters were very supportive and provided in-depth information about what to expect and how to prepare at every stage. They also made time for dry runs during the full loop process.
Interview process:
- Recruiter conversation
- Initial screening ( presentation of 2 case studies at a high level)
- Full loop interview broken down as:
- PD presentation
- App critique (the interviewer was kind enough to let me choose an App I was comfortable with)
- Behavioural interview
- Problem solving
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. The questions in the PD presentation was mainly to understand what I had done and owned vs the rest of the team.
2. What challenges did you face in the interaction design phase of the project?
3. What was a feedback that was difficult to receive and how did you work on it?
The recruiter is very supportive. First round is a deck presentation. Second round is full loop: deck+ BQ+ whiteboard+ app critique. The Overall experience is good, it takes around a whole month
Straightforward like any big tech interview, but long and intense. Formats are pretty standardized so it just takes practice. Questions appear like it's from a bank, so if you're prepared you should be fine.

Interview
I was reached out by a recruiter. Started with the recruiter call, then portfolio presentation, then full loop (Portfolio presentation - app critique - design challenge - background). They had very strong emphasis on design craft and visual excellence. Recruiter who helped me prep was very nice and helpful.
