Not a great experience.
I had applied here per the recommendation of friends and family. I met every qualification for the role as outlined and landed a virtual interview. The hiring manager was very new and it showed (not making eye contact, looking back and forth on different screens, etc.), but despite this I thought I did very well in the interview and was told I would hear from them very soon.
I didn't hear back from the team, so I asked about it and was told they were moving forward without me. When I asked why, I was told I was "too low energy" to be a software engineer with their company. I don't know where this feedback comes from, if anything the hiring manager was "too low energy" during the interview. I feel there are other reasons why they didn't want to hire me, but I would have appreciated honesty about why.
