Applied online, received an email from HR to set up a phone screen about a week later. Phone screen was two days later, was asked to rank my proficiency in about 50 different areas. Invited for an on-campus interview that day. Two weeks later, met with the hiring manager and a tech lead from the team. Was met at the door and led to a conference room. Hiring manager was 20 minutes late leaving plenty of time for awkward small talk. Manager finally arrived.
Remaining hour of my one and a half hour interview was spent with them taking turns asking me questions from a printed sheet of paper. Standard IT technical questions with soft skills stuff thrown in.
Overall the interview was rather disappointing, I did not get a very 'professional' vibe. Was asked for copies of my resume for each person, not sure if they hadn't seen it or just forgot to bring their own copies. The technical questions didn't seem to relate to the job requirements, to the point that I thought maybe they had me confused with another candidate or position.
Had to follow-up with HR several times over the next three weeks, was told the hiring manager was traveling or unavailable. Finally received an offer about three and half weeks later after I had already accepted a position at another company.
