Initial screen by phone asking lots of technical questions and posing situational questions. Took about an hour.
The on site visit was scheduled for a full day. First part of the day required drug test where they took body hair, breath analyzer, fill the cup. This was followed by a couple hours of tests for personality, problem solving, intelligence. The rest of the day was with individuals and groups in the department. Lots of tough questions requiring situational answers. Questions were all over the map. Very long and tough interview. One session included role playing. During the interview process, there were constant interruptions for phone calls, emails, people knocking at the door. All the interruptions required coming back the 2nd day to finish.
They never tried to sell Nucor as a good place to work. Nothing about work-life balance.
