I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Progressive Insurance (Houston, TX) in Apr 2012
Interview
Applied through my university, the next day received an email to do a pre-employment test. Passed it, got a call to schedule a phone interview. Passed the phone interview, she scheduled a one on one interview for a month later in the city of my choice. Did that interview on a Friday and got the call that Monday with a job offer. I accepted it. The one on one interview was very easy to me at least. The behavioral questions are pretty easy to nail if you study ahead of time online and figure out what you are going to say for the actual interview. They also like it if you have a high GPA if you are coming right out of college, which I do. I start after graduation at the end of May.

The interview process is pretty strenuous. You do have an assessment that you have to take. Before you get the in person interview. After you do the assessment you do have virtual star question method questions that you have to answer. If you don’t do well with that you won’t get the final interview with the recruiter or hiring person. Definitely study STAR questions. They’re kinda hard. And then the final interview they do ask you a few star questions as well. You can use the ones from your virtual interview. It was really easy-going though. I did appreciate how easy the conversation was for the final interview.
