Q: Can you whiteboard a boolean string for me?

A: Here are the 3 boolean strings I know (I had google'd these the night before, as I'd never done a boolean string in my life but know it was something in-house sourcers needed to be familiar with). They I asked the interviewer what else he could teach me, expressing that I was eager to learn much more than I'd been exposed to! Then I actively listened and engaged him, asking questions to clarify & reiterating the high-level lessons I'd learned. I think part of why I got the job was my ability to be curious and ask great questions with positive energy (you need to be adaptable to succeed at Yahoo, so my approach reassured them that I was a culture fit).
