I read the opinions first and planned to ask about collective layoffs. During interview when I heard about how easy it is for them to talk about collective layoffs I was shocked. It’s normal for start ups to stop growing and for revenue to get flat, that’s why the responsible hire policy is essential. The easiest way to save money shouldn’t be to fire people(that’s the expression that I heard) but to search for ways to save money that are more difficult. Human capital is an amazing value especially in start ups and in Ramp employer just doesn’t give a damn about it. Revenue grows, falls and gets flat, it’s normal for every company and collective layoffs for Ramp is just another day and easy way to save money on a flat revenue. Now they launched few products - guess what the revenue will go up and then it will get flat again…
