I submitted a resume and was contacted for an initial phone interview within a week. The first contact by phone was an initial screening and took about 3 minutes and then a second phone interview was set up. The second interview via phone took almost 30 minutes. The recruiter was friendly and made the process very comfortable and smooth. I was asked the standard questions. After I was invited to the campus for a tour and final interview. The campus is amazing bowling alley, top notch kitchen, onsite healthcare. Some people wore jeans to the interview, lots of recent college graduates. We had a campus tour, a 45 minute meeting about the company and then followed by 2 interviews by two different team leaders. This is where things went downhill. We were not given the opportunity to listen to team member calls like was told. After the presentation I was called by a team leader for my first face to face interview, before even having a chance for a handshake I was greeted with a scowl. On the way to the interview room as we were loaded into an elevator I was asked how I had heard about the company and replied I had a few clients at my current place of employment that are RV employees who encouraged me to apply (I work in the service industry currently since the real estate crash). Apparently this was not a good thing to share, the interviewer immediately asked if I planned on continuing to work for my current employer and when I began to answer his question he ignored me and started talking to a team member in the elevator completely ignoring my reply. After that it was all a blur but before the final face to face interview even began I knew I didn't have the job. He even rolled his eyes at my answers in the interview. RV looks like a great company, it just seems to be geared towards fresh faced twenty something recent graduates. If maybe I had looked more the part I would have had a warmer reception. I was shocked to see one female in neon blue stiletto's for the interview and other people in ripped jeans.
