Reddit interview questions

I applied online, got a very quick response from the Design Lead and arranged a meet up at Reddit. During the whole interview process the Design Lead was looking at his phone, looking around and seems to be not engaging or interested at all. Throughout the whole process he didn't say anything and I had to keep the conversation going, ask questions and still be polite. I had to stop my introduction because he got a message and starred on his phone the whole time. It wasn't a pleasant experience and hope he can respect people more. Reddit should select their design lead more carefully because they affect the company culture. I was aware of the Design Lead since I read many negative comments about their interview process and was mentally prepared to be treated badly.

I got an email late one night asking to meet in person for a first round chat at Reddit headquarters over some coffee. He was 15 min late (same as another person's review: a hidden test or is always late?). The headquarters was pretty cool though. The interview itself was so open ended, I couldn't get a good feel on what he wanted to hear about. He would interject with "And then what happened??" or ask tangentially related non-sequitur questions, I'm still not sure if their ideal is to roll with it or push back on track. It felt more like an improv exercise than a real interview. Got a form email rejection 3 days later. I don't think I would have continued interviewing with them if they had moved me to the next level, they seem like a bad place for women to work.
