I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at ReliaQuest in May 2021
Interview
I went through four total interviews, and also had to complete a personality assessment and a cognitive assessment.
The first interview was a short phone interview with a recruiter from ReliaQuest, which was mostly focused on personal soft-skills based questions, but with a couple very basic technical questions.
The second one was a longer video interview with the same recruiter, which was all personal soft-skills based questions.
The third interview was a video interview with two other ReliaQuest employees. This was a long and difficult interview which was focused on technical questions. It covered multiple areas of Cybersecurity and included some basic "what does this term mean" questions, as well as some critical thinking and problem solving skills where I was asked how I would handle a particular situation.
After that, I completed the cognitive & personality assessments, and I finally finished with a final video interview with leadership from ReliaQuest, which had a mixture of personal soft-skill questions, and a few final technical questions.
Overall it was a long and difficult interview process, but all of the interviewers were extremely kind and friendly, and they always had a positive and upbeat attitude.
Thank you for the feedback. While the process is highly competitive and can be challenging, we're glad it was still a positive experience and you persevered- great job! We're excited to have you as part of the team officially!!
Other Security Analyst Interview Reviews for ReliaQuest
Expect questions like "how do you handle failure?" and "tell us about a time you had a difficult situation and how you handled it." Also from real interviews: "Tell me about yourself", "Why do you want to work here?"
I initially did a phone interview before moving on to one or two more Zoom calls for more questions. After I completed a 25-question exam and passed. If I recall correctly, I had another zoom call and then received a phone call saying I was no longer in consideration.

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at ReliaQuest (Tampa, FL) in Feb 2025
Interview
The interview process at ReliaQuest was both challenging and rewarding. I was first contacted by a recruiter on LinkedIn about the opportunity, and knowing ReliaQuest’s reputation, I immediately jumped on it. My recruiter was incredibly supportive throughout the process, providing guidance and clear expectations every step of the way.
The journey began with a screening call that included a mix of technical questions and a discussion about my background and the role. From there, I completed a technical assessment, which was tough but manageable with the right preparation. After passing, I moved on to the technical interview, an hour-long session with two Senior Employees who asked rapid-fire technical and scenario-based questions. This interview truly tests both your technical knowledge and problem-solving approach, so preparation is key.
Following the technical stage, I completed behavioral and cognitive assessments, along with a writing sample. Finally, I had the in-person leadership interview, which was both challenging and insightful. One thing that stood out throughout the entire process was ReliaQuest’s passion for excellence—everyone I met, from recruiters to leadership, shared a deep commitment to their work and their team.
It was an incredible experience, and I’m thrilled to be joining such a talented and driven team at ReliaQuest!
