A recruiter contacted me and set up an interview. On the interview day, I arrived only to find that the interviewer was out to lunch because she thought the interview was the next day. Once she arrived, she called me by the wrong name (not even remotely close).
Far worse than that was the strangely hostile questioning. The interviewer repeatedly tried to (incorrectly) tell me what my previous jobs entailed and repeatedly insinuated that she didn't think I could work in a stressful environment. At one point, as one does during an interview, I began to answer a question with "during my time at [previous employer]," she interrupted me to snap, "Well, this isn't [previous employer]. She and another interviewer who joined the interview partway through were similarly hostile when they questioned whether I was ready to go back to in-person work, essentially demanding I admit that I would prefer a work-at-home option if available.
It was frankly bizarre. I knew immediately that I did not get the job, and I no longer wanted it. In retrospect, I wish I had cut the interview short and left.
After all that, they completely ghosted me.
