CULTURAL FIT MATTERS.
Please note that I might be exaggerating as I am basing my decision on a single interview with a hiring manager.
I declined to proceed with the interview process. The team to me felt like a bad cultural fit. If you like being respected at workplace irrespective of your tenure, qualifications and nationality this may not be the right place.
Rounds:
1. Telephone round with the recruiter
2. Initial technical round with the hiring manager
Although I feel RS has an amazing business and perhaps an amazing-talented Analytics team, it felt like the culture isn't as good. The manager interviewed me for 1 hour not even asking me for my name-introduction or even addressing me by my name; besides it felt like he made up his mind even before the interview - for ex. he made up in his mind that I am not a good team player and tried to bend my answers his way. That speaks a lot about the manager and reflects very bad about the team.
I have since declined many recruiters to interview with Republic Services for multiple roles citing cultural fit.
