I received an email from an HR recruiter, stating that based on my qualifications, they are interested in having me take the online assessments. Due to my slow internet, I was unable to complete a couple assessments, the clock ticking, and I was not able to do anything for a solid minute of a four minute timed vocabulary section. The assessments are ridiculous, and have nothing to do with your qualifications. Be prepared to waste a lot of time. Just the online assessments took close to 3 hours. Approximately two weeks later, I got an email saying they chose not to move forward.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds (Chicago, IL) in Apr 2014
Interview
Fairly lengthy process. Connected with the hiring manager through a current employee. In order to go any further I was instructed to formally apply through their recruiting department. After a phone interview, I had to take 2 grueling aptitude tests. After passing the first one, they required you to take the same one again, except under supervision via webcam. After passing this I had one more Skype interview with the VP of Sales, and just when the hiring manager told me they were going to make me an offer, another candidate came into the mix. This prompted them to request that we both put together a presentation of "Why Me" that we were to present to the leadership team. Winner got the job.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Reynolds and Reynolds in May 2012
Interview
First thing i received was an email asking me to take a multitude of tests. They give you two days to complete the tests. The test do take about two hours to complete. After the tests i got a phone call from a someone from their Kettering office. There were some standard questions during the 15 minute call. She asks if she could schedule a interview with a recruiting manager for the next couple days. They asked if the interview could be done over skype instead of the phone because it was more "personal". Had the interview, was pretty standard. Asked about resume and the company lasted about 30 minutes. Thought it went ok. Then got a generic email saying they were not moving along with my application.
