It’s strange because I normally have had good experiences working with Robert Half in the past but this time around was a bit different. I got introduced to a friendly recruiter on the legal department who met with me for coffee to “discuss the jobs she had”. In reality when I spoke with her, she convinced me to interview at Robert Half instead and we didn’t discuss any other jobs at that time. I went in the next day for two interviews, not with the people I was expected to meet with. The interview went OK - they didn’t really ask any deep questions and I felt that they were not trying to get to know me but was merely talking about my experience. After all this, I was assured I would hear back within the next week. I reached out to my original recruiter who never responded. I then followed up a couple days later with the two people who interviewed me, only one answered. I got an email first thing that following Monday morning with an extremely short email letting me know they weren’t moving forward. I never heard back from my original recruiter. During this time, I was also speaking with another recruiter on their office team who I went above and beyond to get in touch with and she assured me she had plenty of jobs that would be a good fit and she would reach back out shortly. I never heard back from her, even after I followed up with a friendly email. Needless to say, I won’t be working with them in the future and I dodged a bullet.
