      Tax Technology Consultant Interview

      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ryan (Dallas, TX)

      Interview

The recruitment coordinator reached out to me through Handshake about the new grad opportunity and encouraged me to apply. I got a call about two weeks after from the senior recruiter who asked some basic questions about why I applied and my availability for in-person interview for the same week. The interview was 3 sessions of half an hour discussions with 3 people back to back. Everyone was super nice and made me feel comfortable. It was pretty easy going and conversational instead of situational. You could tell they're looking for someone who would be good be a good part of the team since they said they're not looking for experience since it's entry level and that they train. I got along well with everyone and it almost seemed like I'd get the good news since they said they are looking to hire 10 people and our conversations seemed to be going really well but after a week I got the rejection email. I was surprised that I wasn't even one of the 10 people and kind of disappointed since everyone was friendly and would be great people to work with. However, I later responded to the recruiter's email requesting for feedback so I know what skills I could work on since I was genuinely interested and willing to learn to be better suited for future opportunities but I stopped getting emails. After that I wasn't that disappointed anymore because even though I still had a good experience and loved the people I met, I think it says a lot about a company when the HR is only willing to talk to and help applicants as long they think it would benefit them. I'm sure it was best for me. But still the people you'd be working with are great so I'd encourage anyone to apply! Good luck!

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There were no specific questions that you'd think they ask everyone. It started off with tell me something about yourself and then they went with the flow of the conversation. So make sure to be aware of whatever you bring up because they might have followup questions. Good luck!
