Samsara Account Development Representative interview questions

Was approached on LinkedIn by recruiter who was very professional and straight to the point, passed me on to second interview with hiring manager who further explained the role and asked generic questions.

Two standard phone screens, one panel with three managers (one of which entailed a mock call), and a final round with a VP. Went to references (which went well!), then I was told it was a competitive time for the company and they went with another candidate. I get that it's competitive, but don't move forward with reference checks unless you're willing to extend an offer. And I totally understand if the reference checks don't go well, but I followed up with both references and they said their calls were excellent! A lot of time was spent scheduling and researching for all six interviews, then to get my hopes up when I'm told they'd like to move forward and call references... it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. On top of all of that, my references got back to me and said they were constantly jerked around by Samsara. One was rescheduled multiple times last minute and they never seemed to grasp which timezone he was in (even though I added that information in the reference form). Both were called at different times than they were finally scheduled for. Very unprofessional. Waste of five weeks.
