The interview process was a bit of a mess, honestly. They rescheduled twice, sent me multiple Zoom links that turned out to be for internal meetings, and if I hadn’t asked for clarification, I doubt anyone would’ve caught it.
At first, my recruiter was helpful, but by the time the 4th interview came around, communication completely dropped off. Then, after three weeks of interviews, I got the generic “We’ve decided to move forward with other candidates” email. I asked for feedback—radio silence.
During the last interview the engineer gave off full diva energy. He clearly didn’t want to be there, acted disinterested the entire time, and ended the interview with a cold, abrupt goodbye. Turns out, the role was on his team. Dodged a bullet with that one.
After a month-long process filled with reschedules, poor communication, and unnecessary interviews, all I can say is this: if you can’t figure out whether someone’s a fit halfway through, don’t waste people’s time.
