I usually never post, but based on the previous posts for Sigma Computing I have to agree with the experiences that wered shared. Recruiter was quick to schedule rounds. Had 1 telephonic round which is basically a live coding session. After that virtual onsite with 4 rounds. 2 coding, 1 behavioral, 1 system design. The questions are not focused on typical leetcode style interviews. They take interviews on more "real" worlds problems that they solve. Based on the all the coding and system design rounds, they seem to lack any creativity to design different questions and all questions follow the same "real world problem". One of the coding questions felt like a question copied from a javascript interview of FAANG. Overall, it felt the interviewers were not really enjoying taking the interviews. I was interviewing for frontend position, and the company has mostly full stack engineers. During the system design round, the interviewer asked to focus more on the backend design for a frontend system design. The interviewer seemed to lack the understanding of how to design scalable frontend. My guess is the full stack engineers don't actually want any frontend engineers to get hired. This makes me doubt the engineering culture of the company and is a huge red flag. The first telephonic round felt very mechanical, I couldn't tell if I was being interviewed by a human or robot. None of the interviewers shared the positive enthusiasm you expect from good interviewers.
