Sourced Group interview questions

HR asked for to select few time slots for the interview and then proceed to arrange for time slot that are not in the selected time slots. Excruciatingly slow interview process. Interviewers are really arrogant, direspectful and insulting to the candidates. First they say they only handles largest AWS project and they only hires the best people. Which is total bull poop as the best engineers are with Amazon, Facebook, Google and Microsoft. Then they will ask question and then insults all given answers. The feeling i get during the interview is management are too arrogant, discrimination should be normal in this company, and small company politics. Sourced Group are only looking for people with Software Development background and candidates that are not in this background should not waste their time to apply jobs with this company. Make no mistakes about it, Sourced Group is a 100% pure sales start-up company, not a tech start-up company.

I very rarely leave interview reviews, however I came out of this interview astonished at what there interpretation of a theoretical and technical interview. I interview a lot in my current role, and one thing I try to avoid is on the spot, ‘you better have a good memory or else’ line of questioning and I also ensure that I understand the professional route the candidate has taken. My experience with Sourced a few weeks ago did all of these things. Being asked what a specific option in a specific feature of a specific cloud service does nothing to get a good understanding of my technical knowledge in this field, also allowing people the time to think is also respectful. I began to feel very uncomfortable when the interview would ask questions like this and within 2 - 3 seconds would answer the question in a manner which I felt was very patronising. There were also no questions about concepts and culture that enable these business functions to operate effectively, it not just the tech and some guys that go in and tell you how to use it. And what’s even more disrespectful, is that they didn’t even want to know about anything other then job specific information, very impersonal and not the kind of experience I would want to have in the workplace everyday. My advice to Sourced: - You May want to go back and look at some of your rejections, you have missed some absolute rockstars, but I doubt they’d work for you now. - Be upfront that you want someone from a development background with a CS degree - Remember that not everyone applied, they were scouted by talent, not be arrogant and act like they owe you something.
