I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at State Street (Boston, MA) in May 2011
Interview
HR called me in for an interview, and it turned out to be three 30 min interviews with managers/directors from three different sectors. They each introduced their departments and products and it was more of a fit interview. They asked some technical questions but mostly just to see what you know, although there were some odd ones like "Would you rather have a sailboat or motorboat and what would you name it?"
First round was a 30 minute phone interview. Basic behavioral questions after brief intro of the interviewer and the candidate. At the end the interview would ask about the candidate's technical skills.
I applied online. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at State Street (London, England) in Feb 2017
Interview
started with the regular online application, then I needed to answer some straight forward questions on the email, then 2 phone interviews and 2 one to two interviews (me and 2 senior people);
cv-based questions, competency-based questions, behavioural questions, Microsoft Office questions, technical financial questions, general economic knowledge/opinions, interests and ideas for the future development
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at State Street (London, England) in Jan 2017
Interview
Very brief telephone interview, offshore HR so takes a long time to reply - mainly competency based questions. Some more specific - e.g. why state street, what division would you prefer etc
Interview questions [1]
