1) Short phone call with the recruiter.
2) Call with a design team member.
3) Design Challenge
The design team provided no feedback on the challenge I submitted. The design team didn't even have a discussion with me about my work or allow me to present my work. What a joke!
I interviewed with a person of lesser experience and talent, yet was asked to submit a design challenge. Sure kiddo, I'll do your design challenge! LOL! Why is SM putting Sr. Product Designers through design challenges? Isn't a resume and portfolio enough? How can SM judge a designer by a design challenge when it's not *even* close to what a day in the life of a designer looks like? Real Designers: research, collaborate, work with subject matter experts, interview users, AND THEN iterate to come up with good solutions. Stop judging designers by giving them a silly challenge and then deciding if you think they are good or not. That is not even close to how you can tell if a designer is experienced or not.
-- > Poor designer interview decisions. Poor process.
The communication was extremely slow. I was not given any chance to ask questions, understand benefits, etc. Extremely one-sided interview process with a cold "no thanks" call from the recruiter after waiting forever to hear back. Wasted an entire three weeks of my time.
Glad I didn't get the job. Won't be applying here again.
