We, RN, face challenges daily in our workplace, but I always LOVE to deal with challenges. Challenges make me alert, energized and prepare to cope with all kinds of incidents and events. When I resolve challenging issues using my critical thinking, analytical and hardworking skills; and when eventually get recognized by my Manager for my hard work, I develop more experience and desire to work with even more dedication. In ER- overcapacity due to patients waiting for bed- Flu season- before the long weekend- few colleagues were on vacation and others who weren't also made sick call Spoke to MRP and called DOC from the NH and RH - facilitated discharge planning to home- convinced DOC to take their residents back - Cohorted isolated patients with same organisms and created new beds- asked Staffing for extra Agency Nurses temporarily . Resolved the issue with patients waiting for beds and managed the Overcapacity.
