I once had a coworker who was lazy and wanted me to pick up their slack. I had a conversation with them first because it’s important to try & resolve the issue with the person first before escalating it to management. Issue couldn’t be resolved, so I had a discussion with manager about it. The manager later had a sit down with the employee and things eventually got better.
