I first was contacted for a phone interview with HR recruiter. This was pretty typical, short and to the point. The recruiter was very kind and personable. I then interviewed with 2 managers face to face. This was more intimidating because they explained how the interview would go in 3 parts:1. STAR situational questions 2. Role Play and 3. My questions. The role play sort of threw me off...I was given two pages of information that I could read over for a few mins and then they asked me to role play with them, as if I was trying to sell the situation to a real customer. I have a long background in sales, but not retail or merchandising and also would be new to the beverage industry, so I felt it was a bit awkward. I was prepared with a lot of questions for them, however which they seemed to answer ok (but not totally prepared for?). I didn't hear back on the day I was told they'd make their decision, so I emailed my HR contact. SHe replied right away and told me they were still making their decision. I was then sent a form letter email that said I did not get the position.
