I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at The Johns Hopkins University (Baltimore, MD) in Mar 2011
Interview
Invited for a weekend interview Thursday night through Sunday morning. Had 6 individual meetings with professors from the department spread over 2 days in which I talked about my research and asked them about theirs. That was the extent of the "traditional" interview process, the rest of the time I considered to be recruitment. As I had applied for a basic science department recruits, as they are called rather than interviewees, are in a good position because many schools are trying to attract the same pool of students. However, getting accepted is another story. One of the most important things is to have research experience followed up by a good personality and attitude.

Interview
Easy for me. You got a good GPA and research experiences, easy to get into the program. But someone without one unique strength may find it hard to get in.

The interview is done online and is nothing hard. It asks you why you want to study with them and your interest in the programme, everyone is nice there and after you enrolled in the class, they provide you with support.
