This was what I call a "whoo boy". I got a very clear image of what working at TNC would be like. I applied in October (possibly September) and the first step was an 8-part questionnaire which I received in November. The second step was a 7-person panel interview scheduled a day or two before Thanksgiving. Most of the questions asked were repeats of questions from the questionnaire. At no point did this feel like my questionnaire had been read. This step was not a conversation: I would answer, try to engage, but the process moved on to the next rapid-fire question. Another month rolled by and I was invited to a second interview. This time with four people and in the same rapid-fire style. During both interviews, I was asked essentially the same questions in multiple ways: 1. How do you handle stressful, chaotic situations? 2. How do you deal with difficult people? Another month goes by and I get a request for references. At this point, I backed out because I could see what working with this group would be like. I asked the recruiting team multiple times for a salary range and received no response.
