I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at The Trade Desk in Mar 2022
Interview
I applied via an employee referral and was contacted 3 weeks after applying to schedule a phone screen with the recruiter. After speaking with the recruiter I was told they want to immediately schedule a meeting with the hiring manager. I never heard back. I was ghosted by the recruiter. I followed up 2 weeks after the initial call, and never received a response.
I realize this company is growing quickly, but this is really disrespectful and the recruiter should be retrained on how to interact with people.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (Singapore) in Jul 2024
Interview
5 chats - recruiter, hiring manager, peer, functional peer, GM.
Recruiter checked in several times which was nice.
Ernt to the presentation round and while I didn't get the role in the end, recruiter gave me some feedback.

Question 1
Describe a situation where your client prefers to buy into walled gardens - how would you tackle that?
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at The Trade Desk (London, England) in May 2022
Interview
The process was slow and disorganised, taking about 3 months and requiring me to chase the recruiter multiple times during this time.
The interview consisted of an initial hr screening, 3 interviews with peers, and a final interview consisting of 2x20 minute presentations and a panel question round.
I received excellent feedback for the initial interview stages, then there was a gap of around a month where I had to chase for the final stage which at this point I was considering giving up on the process.
The final round was hurried along once I had finally got a hold of the recruiter and instead of a full 7 days to prepare my presentations I was given 4. Honestly, I must have worked almost 12 hours per day during this time to put together the presentations. Given I also have a full-time senior position I found this very unprofessional.
After the final interview, I was told that the presentations were really good but below 'excellence' and so I didn't receive an offer. No other feedback was provided.
Considering in the early stages one of the peers mentioned that they really struggle to hire people and this role had been open for over a year I can understand where they are going wrong. Between the poor recruiting team and frankly strange criteria for hiring there is clearly issues within the company.
