The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Thrivent (Saint Paul, MN) in Jan 2016
Interview
This is for an Internship position. I got scheduled for a phone interview with an IT director from Wisconsin. When the time came for the interview, the IT Director didn't call me. She apologized the next day and we rescheduled the interview for the weekend.
There's nothing worse than preparing for an interview hours early and taking all of the measures to isolate yourself to a quiet place away from friends and family to only end up not getting a call. I can't imagine how bad my situation would be for people who had to find sitters for their kids! Also, for our rescheduled interview, I had to sit in my car during the cold MN winter because it was the only quiet place i could find. It was during early morning too.
At the end of our rescheduled interview, the director mockingly made a joke about one of my answers to a previous question she had asked me. Overall, It was a horrible experience from not getting the first interview call to sitting in my car in the cold and getting mocked at. I would never want to work here let alone apply here ever again.

I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Thrivent (Appleton, WI) in Feb 2020
Interview
Several phone interviews (single and group) followed by a several hour interview on-site interview with people from various teams. Once initial technical interview was over was more a personality/culture fit test. Questions were fairly standard. Interviewers were easy going but professional. Scheduling was slightly tricky arranging people on their side which dragged process out.

I applied through college or university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Thrivent (Madison, WI) in Sep 2017
Interview
I initially came in contact with Thrivent at a career fair. It was honestly the best conversation I had - the representatives were extremely friendly. They followed up the next week by setting up a Skype interview. The Skype interview consisted of a half hour interview with two IT managers, followed by another half hour interview with another two. The following week I was given an offer. Overall the experience and interview was not intimidating and more conversational. They went through my Resume and asked questions about it.
