      Human Resources Manager Interview

      Oct 18, 2012
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 days. I interviewed at Tiffany & Co. (New York, NY) in Sep 2012

      Interview

The Recruiting Manager/Director called to set up a phone interview. She asked detailed questions about my current position, experience, and to describe each previous job. It was nothing too technical and there were no questions that I wouldn't have expected. She then launched in to somewhat of what I would call a hard sell telling me about the fantastic benefits and discounts on Tiffany products, etc. The call lasted about 30 minutes. At end she told me she was going to discuss my resume with the hiring manager and get back to me. Since that was over a month ago now I have to assume she's not in fact going to get back to me. It's pretty rude not to respond to a candidate who has been interviewed. It's also pretty lazy since every Applicant Tracking System has a very simple option to send a "Reject" letter. Overall I have not been left with a good impression of Tiffany & Co,

      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Tiffany & Co. in Jun 2018

      Interview

I applied online directly and from there, I was contacted by a recruiter via email advising that I would be receiving an invitation to a HireVue interview (digital video interview). The interview itself took about 30minutes and was a bit awkward as you are responding to prepopulated questions, essentially talking to yourself. I completed the video and it took over a month before I received an update regarding the status of my application. At no point during the process did I ever have an actual conversation with anyone on Tiffany's team and essentially, they just used an awkward video to determine my qualifications. In all honesty, I'm quite certain that if I had not followed up twice regarding the status of my application, I probably never would have heard back and even then received a generic "thanks but no thanks" email. If candidates are investing their time in "interviewing," it would be in Tiffany's best interest to ensure a positive experience overall, regardless if they are moving forward in the process or not.
