The internal recruiter I worked with made this process terrible. They initially called without warning, and insisted on carrying out the rushed phone interview. They wanted to move forward with the process but consistently did not follow through on follow up dates and times that they set up, causing me to constantly have to contact them to figure out what was going on.
Most critically, I provided a key piece of information that I thought might disqualify me for the role, and verified on two separate phone calls that the recruiter understood this.
At the in person interview, the recuiter then expressed surprise at this information when I bought it up again, causing bother the recruiter and the department manager to lose interest immediately at the start of the interview. Giant waste of time over almost a month that could have been avoided from the first phone call if the internal recruiter had been paying attention.
