The Interview process started with a Recruiter doing a Phone screen and about three weeks later I received a email stating that I would be interviewing one on one with three leaders within the company.
1st one on one interview consisted of a guy complaining about the gap of excel experience that the organization had. I'm really confident in excel so initially I thought to myself, great! I'm already able to fulfill one of their gaps with the organization so he explained the job in great detal and I knew I would be able to bring value to the company.
Second interview consisted of me meeting with the lady that I would be reporting under. She ask a lot of Job related questions and I really enjoyed her style of interviewing expect she asked me a job related question in which I didn't feel I had the tools and/or knowledge of answering, so I gave my best attempt based on what I thought was correct. However, it probably wasn't what she wanted as told me that she wasn't going to waste anymore of my time and told me that I was the type of candidate that she was looking for.(Didn't make it to the third leader) She "stated" she was looking for someone that was smarter in Excel than she was. When she stated this, I automatically thought, "This lady is just looking for someone to do her job"! Not the type of scenario, I wanted to be put in anyway. The only remorse that I had was the 40min drive it took to get to the place that I was interviewing at.
