I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at US Forest Service in Mar 2010
Interview
Did a phone interview only. Standard questions, nothing out of the ordinary or hard. Though I was told I was only hired because I was a veteran and that their hands were tied. I think they read the regulations wrong but I should have taken that as a sign to stay away.

I applied online. The process took 6 months. I interviewed at US Forest Service
Interview
Put in for several positions in various states. Interviewed for at least 10 positions. Was not informed of being hired or not for most of them. The position in MI was nice enough to call me and let me know that they did not hire me. Several months have gone by on most of these positions. It can take as long as 6 months before you find out one way or another. Sometimes the positions do not bother to let you know.... if you do not hear back from them then you know that they did not hire you. Several months after applying I was offered a position in Idaho. Later I received a phone call from HR stating that they were sorry about the mistake and that I was qualified after all and congratulations on my new position. Some how I was offered a job then rated non qualified, then the mistake was caught and everything is fine. However I have not received any paperwork showing that I have the position. It has been several months but it might have to do with the current Government shutdown. As far as I know everything is fine and I will receive concrete evidence of being hired once the Government shutdown is over.

Question 1
Lots of questions.... some people asked where I saw myself in 5 years. Most asked How do I feel about cleaning toilets? Can I work with minimum supervision? Have I had to deal with conflicts with employees or public and if so how did I deal with it.
