Had an initial interview with a recruiter to go over qualifications, salary preferences, etc. I was given a written work sample with two questions, and a second interview was with three current managers and a senior employee in the role. I was provided resources as to what kinds of questions would be asked prior to this interview to prepare (brush up on the STAR method). Interviewers were very thorough and helpful, and the process took about an hour and a half.

Work Sample included specific case studies, appropriate career options given client history, appropriateness for Return to Work Services, etc.
The interview process can seem a lot when you hear about it at first. The first stage will be a panel asking you about different scenarios they come across and to ask you what you would consider as a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. Next up is the second interview where you will have another two person panel ask you competency based questions and you'll have to give a 10 min max presentation.

When was the last time you handled a difficult situation? What was the situation? How did you handle it? What was the response?
it Takes a while after applying to get contacted for an interview however, once you are contacted you’re provided the oppprtunity to first job shadow which I found convenient. After the shadowing opportunity a face to face interview is scheduled using behavioral style interviewing.
