The recruiter contacted me to schedule a panel interview but never answered my questions about the hiring process. Even when I followed up with the talent coordinator, I was told to contact the unresponsive recruiter. During the panel interview which included two coding exercises, the team indicated this would be the only round needed, setting false expectations.
After the interview, I experienced complete radio silence for months. Despite multiple follow up emails to the recruiter, I received no updates. The only response came when I contacted the coordinator again who finally prompted the recruiter to reply. Months later, I learned the role was put on hold only because I reached out directly to a hiring manager on LinkedIn.
This demonstrated an unacceptable lack of professional courtesy. Candidates deserve timely communication and transparency about their status. Having to personally track down basic updates after investing time in their interview process shows deep disrespect for applicants. I strongly caution other candidates to consider whether a company with such poor hiring practices would value its employees either. There are far more professional organizations that respect candidates throughout their hiring process.
