There was no interview process, but I must say, their "Thanks, but no thanks" email was the, and I mean THE most unprofessional response to an application I have ever had in my 20 years of professional experience. After a lengthy application process, and resume/cover letter update, their response was "After review we are going to pass"...those exact words. Not, "after careful review of your qualifications, we have decided to pursue other candidates". Not "after careful consideration, your experience, albeit extensive, isn't what we are exactly looking for in this position...". No...it was a, "we are going to pass". I would have much rather them never respond, than to send something like that. I almost could believe what I was reading. Not only is it deflating, but isn't the greatest look for a company whom I am considering working for. At worst, there should be a company standard for which these responses are sent. If you can't take the time to professionally articulate a response to an potential employee who, is also in a position to review/interview the company, than no response should be sent.
