I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Walmart (Bentonville, AR) in Nov 2024
Interview
I had a preliminary phone interview, then got the video interview with two Hiring Managers. I never had a stressful interview like this. They seemed more like trying to establish I am not a good fit for this role, rather than how I can contribute. In the email communication I received, the interview was for 45 minutes, but they wrapped up the interview in 30 mins. For each question, I was taking my time relaxed and trying to answer as the best as I can, and they cut me off on almost all questions except two technical questions, which I answered correctly. So, in short the interview experience sucked big time. I felt they were trying to show off they do so much fancy stuffs with technology and they know so much stuff that I don't know. I respect that they have really good experience in their area but I don't think it was the right way to conduct an interview. I am glad I am not fit for their team, as I can't imagine working in that team. You can say, "the grape you can't reach is sour" that could be the case, but you need to treat your candidates better and respect them.
Interview questions [6]
Question 1
First question was introduce yourself and after I answered that, they asked: How do you approach a situation when a user reach out regarding a broken dashboard or report?
Phone call, then interview with AGM HR, then with Site Lead and HR. I was pretty straight forward in that regard just ensuring that each step was made in alignment with my schedule.
I applied online. I interviewed at Walmart (Altoona, PA) in Feb 2026
Interview
Start by introducing yourself then they ask four to nine questions. Afterwards you are given the opportunity to ask questions about the job or company. They will follow up in a week or two and explain the outcome of the interview.
I got a referral, and HR scheduled the interview for the very next day. It was pretty straightforward. The recruiter called me from the store she was working at via Zoom, but she likely ran out of free Zoom minutes and switched to a phone call shortly after. She introduced herself and explained the job responsibilities before handing it over to me for a quick self-introduction. Most of the questions focused on my past experiences, especially around managing associates and my communication skills.
