I interviewed with Waymo in December of 2020. Unfortunately, I did not get the position. It took two months for me to get the final decision. The time is by no means a negative on their part because I recognize the holidays cause delays. While some might think two months is a long time, any stress at waiting that I experienced was lessened by the recruiter I worked with. She checked in regularly to provide an update, even if the update was that there wasn't an update. Along with responding to my check-in emails. I know through friends the number of calls and emails a recruiter goes through and the fact she still checked in made me feel like I was a priority.
The interview process was all via Google Meet and aside from the lights turning off in my office during my first interview, it went smooth. I met with five people for 30-45min. I enjoyed speaking with everyone and getting to know more about the team and Waymo. The more I learned through my research and the interviews the more excited I became at the prospect of working there.
Overall the experience was good and I will keep an eye out for future opportunities.
