What is your current compensation package/salary package?

During my initial phone screen, I gave the HR individual my entire compensation history. She stated that the salary for this position was lower (upper 40's) but that it was "negotiable" based on experience. Come to find out after going through all the interviews and process they offered me less than half of what I was making/asking for and when I tried to negotiate the package (trying to work with them) they only raised the salary by $2,000 this was "meeting half way" to them ... this salary was NOT in the upper 40's.... I tried to negotiate other perks to the job they reengaged the offer stating I was clearly "too qualified" and after reviewing my experience and resume I was far too advanced for this role. Clearly a cop-out since they had my resume and I went through several rounds of phone interviews in which I stated my experience and background. The hiring manager has nothing to do with the offer process it's all through HR which is just odd. They are looking for someone with two-three years experience yet are paying them less than an entry level salary. If you look on glassdoor and do some research they don't even come close to the median or average salary for that give position. I was a field marketing representative for another brand and my salary was, like I mentioned, DOUBLE + what they offered me. I still tried to accept the offer and they came back telling me the hiring manager (who wasn't involved but now apparently was) was on vacation and that they would get back to me on Wednesday. The next Monday I emailed them asking for an update and the HR manager replied back to my email with an auto response noreply email (one of those emails you get when you send in your application) stating: "We appreciate your interest in the Field Marketing Representative-Home Entertainment position with Premium Retail Services. We received numerous applications from many qualified candidates. Although your qualifications were quite impressive, we are considering other applicants whose background and experience are better suited for our needs at this time. Although this particular opportunity did not work out, we encourage you to apply again in the future should you see a job posting at wearepremium.com that is of interest to you and matches your qualifications and skill sets. Again, thank you for your interest in Premium Retail Services. We wish you all the best with your future career pursuits. Kind Regards, X" So not only did they not respond to my email accepting the offer that was presented they send me a no reply email that is a generic response to those that weren't being considered for the role even though I went through 2 months of interviews and was offered the position! Definitely a company to STAY AWAY from! Extremely unprofessional. Definitely not a company I would want to work for ...
